The aim of this project is to determine whether and how the type and method of fertilization affect aphid infestation in organic vegetable production. Field trials are conducted on lettuce and savoy cabbage, using various doses, types, and timing of (nitrogen) fertilization. Aphid infestation will be monitored, along with crop yield. Additionally, Brix values will be measured and plant sap analyses conducted to support the results.
