Organic production systems differ from conventional ones and therefore, they need a different approach to assess the impact of improvement strategies towards more  sustainability and competitiveness. However, there is a lack of appropriate indicators and reliable data to successfully compare different organic production systems. This project aims to organize a demand-driven, goal-oriented knowledge compilation of the Flemish organic agriculture. To this end, a system based participatory methodology will be established to obtain a set of indicators that support management decisions towards sustainability and competitiveness in organic agriculture.
